Covering the Triad area of North Carolina Schlaginhaufen Construction, Inc. is a family-owned business covering Greensboro, High Point, and surrounding areas in Guilford and Forsyth Counties, as well as projects in the Smith Mountain area of Virginia.

After owning a vacation home at SML for several years, Rick Schlaginhaufen (licensed Class A General Contractor in Virginia and North Carolina) decided to move to the area in 2006 and concentrate on his construction business.  Prior to moving, Rick owned a landscaping business, and he and his wife Melanie owned Best Friends Bed & Biscuit, an upscale pet care business in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Scroll down to see photos of our NC business, including the special "Garden Room" built for small dog boarding. In 2016, the Schlaginhaufens moved back to North Carolina, settling permanently in the Oak Ridge community.

Both Rick and his son Eric Schlaginhaufen III are also licensed realtors with Yost & Little Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.

We pride ourselves on living up to our slogan Entrusted to Build Quality.  We think you will find this reflected in every area of our business. from something as simple as a small repair on your family's front porch, to large scale additions of over 2,500 square feet, to new home builds.  We have also had the opportunity to build commerical kennel buildings, specialized kennel buildings for homeowners, as well as for an animal rescue organization.
